Anne Holt
Norwegian lawyer and former Minister of Justice Anne Holt made her crime fiction debut as with Blind gudinne in 1993. The international break through came with the advent of the Vik/Stubo series in 2004.
Anne Holt always spends six months doing research before she starts writing, and her crime fiction is renown for its stark realism. Val McDermid has praised Anne Holt's ability to reveal "how truly dark it gets in Norway".
