The Blood Spilt is the second book in Åsa Larsson's Rebecka Martinsson series.
In the wake of devastating experiences, Rebecka Martinsson is on a much-needed leave. She has trouble remembering the violence that recently took place in her old Swedish hometown Kiruna.
Meanwhile Inspector Anna-Maria Mella is investigating the murder of Mildred Nilsson, and outspoken feminist priest with many friends and enemies. The similarities with the Viktor Strandgård case (Sun Storm) make the police suspect a copy cat killer.
As the case is cold Inspector Mella turns to Rebecka for guidance. Rebecka directs her attention to the murdered priest’s parish of Pojkijärvi. Here Rebecka senses that the truth, and more spilt blood, are hidden just below the surface.
