Karin Alvtegen has received several prestigious awards for her psychological crime fiction in her native Sweden, and the international recognition is growing in strength. Shame was nominated for the Duncan Lawrie International Dagger Award 2007, and in 2009 The Mystery Writers of America nominated Alvtegen’s Missing to an Edgar’s Award in the category Best Novel.
